As an inspired artist, I work with various materials and often see figures in rusty metal plates or in driftwood washed up on the shore. I enjoy using recycled materials and both restoration and special techniques, such as encaustic, a wax painting technique known since ancient times. I love experimenting with different materials; for example, I found veneer, typically used in furniture restoration, which I used instead of paper in my graphic works. My new drum was created intuitively and through experimentation, using reindeer hide I ordered from Lapland. As an artist, I want to renew myself and incorporate more craft techniques into my works. The human soul and its connection to the beyond is an eternal theme that I explore through my art.
Turn from Puuskaniementie to Puuskakuja, drive to the middle of the road, and on the right, you'll see a parking lot where you can park. Ekoateljee is immediately on the right. If you're taking bus 85 to Jollas, you can drive to the final stop and walk towards the main building of Snellman University Collage, Taidetalo, and continue walking a bit towards the shore, and Ekoateljee will be on the right.
