Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual artist based in Pietarsaari, Ostrobothnia, where I also work as a teacher. I have studied art in Finland, Denmark, and Romania and have a BA in Fine Arts from Novia University of Applied Sciences, 2014 and a BA in Crafts and Art from 2004. I work primarily with performance, film and video art. It is always the theme that ties my practice together, which is why installation art is an integral part of my artistic work. The foundation of my work is often related to existential questions. In my latest works mental health and humanity and nature have played an important part. Since 2012, I have participated in and organized multiple performance art events in Finland and other Nordic countries. My work has been shown in the Nordic countries, Estonia, Germany and France.

Program during Konstrundan

During Konstrundan you have the opportunity to gain insight into my working process and what happens "behind the scenes." Drawing, painting, photography, and printmaking are always present in my artistic work, however I rarely exhibit them. There is also an opportunity to purchase artworks. You will be able to see video works that focus on the working process itself, but during Konstrundan become art pieces in their own. Let's have a cup of coffee and talk about art.
