Information about the artist / the group

I have worked as a textile artist and a designer/maker since 1993. I have participated in numerous exhibitions both in Finland and abroad, and my works are in several public collections. My work is known for its distinctive design language, use of colors and uncompromising technical quality.
My main techniques are wet felting and hand weaving. I primarily make unique art textiles, but I also design and manufacture utility products. I am currently weaving large art textiles on a three meters wide loom. I get the material directly as raw wool from local organic farms, then wash and dye the wool myself.

Program during Konstrundan

In my studio there will be an exhibition of both my felted and woven works. There will also be an opportunity to learn about weaving.
