Information about the artist / the group

I am Laïa Karelïa, a Frenchified artist and architect. I live in the Arctic, Paris and on the Internet. I received my art education at an architecture school and when working with artists as an apprentice. I received my craft education as a power plant mechanic in Vaasa. I received my carpenter's apprenticeship at Fiskars.

I will present a sculpture and an oil painting, called the CryptoDuo A². It is a mechanically and digitally encrypted double work that cannot be forged. The encryption includes DNA and blockchain encryption, so the authentication is absolute. My dissertation deals with new creativity in art.

I will also present my workshop and architectural models, i.e. architectons, sculptures, car design and sketchbooks.

My workshop is next to the Järvilinna recycling shelter.

Program during Konstrundan

During the Konstrundan weekend, I will present my works and explain how they are created. I will explain how arkhē, téktōn and poïesis belong to all art, not just architecture. I will also talk about the new Arts & Crafts skill level, the cognitivefunctional abstraction of art and civic courage in art.
