Information about the artist / the group

I am Reeta Suvanto, Moisein Rańńa, a 31-year-old Karelian-Finnish visual artist and jewelry designer. In my art, I work with my own family's refugee background, the loss of home, as well as Karelian culture and the Karelian language. I am currently researching Karelian death and death culture, remembering the deceased up to the seventh generation, and the contradiction of museology of culture. I am studying for a Master of Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki.

Driving directions

You can find the stairs to Svinhufvudinkatu 23A in the courtyard of the building. Access to stairs A on the left corner, the signs can be found in the yard and on the door. Stairs up to the 4th floor, signs lead you all the way up. For those climbing the stairs, there are places to sit along the way. The space is also accessible for people with reduced mobility. There is a phone number in the lower lobby that you can call if you need an elevator. We will guide you to the elevator. The elevator is a large industrial elevator, which can also accommodate e.g. wheelchair.
