Information about the artist / the group

The loom is my passion. I first encountered it at the age of one when my mother was weaving rugs. The technique continued to intrigue me, and I eventually became a weaver and designer. I have woven many kinds of textiles, from rag rugs to art textiles. My inspiration comes from nature, color, light, and my own experiences in nature. It’s fascinating to express these moods and moments through the constraints and possibilities of the loom and materials. I mainly weave functional textiles. Just like old objects were once made both beautiful and practical, I want to bring beauty into everyday life through my work. My newest challenge is to create a Happy Loom Garden from an old yard—giving worn-out looms new roles.

Program during Konstrundan

Welcome to visit my studio and the Happy Loom Garden. In the studio, you’ll find an exhibition of my textile works, and you can also try weaving on a loom under my guidance. In the Happy Loom Garden, you can explore freely among the flower meadow and old looms. The kitchen garden and its structures offer an aesthetic experience. During the event, the Happy Café will serve visitors in the garden.
