Marloes van Son (1991, NL) creates sound-objects, instruments and experimental music. Her artistic practice combines electronics, woodwork and sound in varying combinations. Through her work she explores everyday appliances and natural phenomena. She is fascinated by interactions between humans and technology and is currently interested in interface design.
A selection of interactive installations, sound objects and experiments with electronics will be exhibited at the studio. Marloes is currently developing a series of electronically modified furniture, utilizing repair strategies as a way to connect to the objects that we surround ourselves with.
