Krista Blomqvist is Art educator (Aalto University 2020) and painter (Hyvinkää. Art school 2010).
Her works often deal with the dialogue between control and randomness. What it is to make art through management and control in relation to the free flow of the process. Expressive oil- and acrylicpaintings are often something in between abstract and representational. In most of the works she studies the horizon. Stormy and calm darkness and light.

Program during Konstrundan

I will present my 14m2 studio with paintings and tell and share thoughts about my artistic work, its different processes and materials. I will put the works on display and I believe that we will create a good dialogue. I participated in art tour of Nilsiänkatu last year and it went really well. I briefly introduced the space, materials and the paintings, after which we talked. Painting can be bought as well.
