Information about the artist / the group

I mainly make functional ceramic pieces with the goal of having beautiful and interesting pieces at home.
Lately I've been interested in different forms found in nature, especially in the oceans. I yearn to try different firing methods and my favourites have been woodfiring and raku. The magic of ashes and fire creates such irresistible surfaces and colors.

However, for me, the most wonderful work phase in ceramics is working with the clay itself, touching of the clay. There are so many possibilities. With clay I feel calm and forget the world around me. It gives a moment of calm in the hectic everyday.

You are warmly welcome to come see how our little ceramic studio operates and the many different stages of working with clay. You may take a look at our material storage and kiln room, as well as our wide variety of hand made art and functional ceramic pieces.

Driving directions

Turn from Mannerheimintie to Kiskontie and it will branch out to Raisiontie. Our studio is on the right side of the building, down a small set of stairs.
