Information about the artist / the group

I have been drawing all my life, working as an illustrator for several graphic agencies in Italy and on comic projects in Berlin. Since 2009, I have been working with tattoos and now own M5 Tattoo studio while also working as a freelance artist.

I use only polychrome pencil on paper, drawing everything from landscapes to portraits. Since moving to Finland, I have observed Finnish cultural identity and its scenery. In my latest project, I was inspired by nature’s strong presence in the urban landscape, creating surreal images of Helsinki’s monuments intertwined with creatures of nature.

My studio is in the backyard of a historic building in Katajanokka. To enter, call me, and I will come to open the gate.

M5 Tattoo Studio will showcase an exhibition of illustrations by Martino Fraschini. I will be serving snacks and drinks.
