I am Walter Götsch, a Finnish multidisciplinary visual artist. My work is based on usability, field research, and symbolism. I seek ways to connect with the environment and history, and through this create ways to think about the future. My works contribute to modern environmental art, the search for human identity, and the connection with nature.
The task of my works is to break down the materialistic and capitalist-realism disassociation and to present communal, nature-friendly alternatives. My works are tools, and they always have a certain function. I completed a Bachelor's degree in Fashion at Aalto University (2016) and a Master's degree in Art and Design at Sandberg Institute (2019). I am a member of Muu ry, Kiila ry, Dirty Art Foundation, and Walking Artists Network.
Lots of open studios in the House, and coffee and cake in the studio. Free movement on the island.
Take the boat to Harakka from the Ullanlinnanlaituri. Walk up the hill to the Harakka Artist House. When entering the Harakka Artist house, turn left from the main corridor. Pass through the Laboratory room. After the lab, turn left again and climb up the stairs. You have arrive at the studio. My studio is on the west corner of the building.
