Information about the artist / the group

I'm Tytti, a master illustrator of wild nature and an artist from Rovaniemi. I also work as the AD of a local book publishing house. If you want to talk about art, birds, making or illustrating a book, come and see a small exhibition or or just take a look at what the creative studio looks like, you are welcome!

I have been interested in birds since I was a child. I vividly remember how the little claws felt on my fingertips when the willow tit flew to take a nut from my hand for a very first time. It was a magical moment: when a connection and trust grew between me and wild nature. I am worried about Finland's wild nature: the future of forests, wilderness and streams. I hope that through my work I can increase awareness and increase respect for our nature and its living creatures.

Program during Konstrundan

I present my artistic work and work process mainly with aquarelle and mixed media. For this, I am preparing one larger work and a couple of smaller works, which I work on during the days. A small exhibition is hung in the corridor outside the studio, sketches are also on display. Coffee and snacks are available for guests.

In the same studio, Sannu Vaarala also participates in Konstrundan and presents her own work.

Driving directions

Enter to the building from Steinerkoulu's Viirinkankaantie 1 entrance (Keltakangas sports hall + large parking area). You can already see the Konstrundan signs in the yard. Walk to the elevator and come to the 2nd floor or take the stairs to the 2nd floor. Follow the signs to room 238B.
