Information about the artist / the group

I´m interested in the relationship between art, craft, and industrial products, and the dialogue between them. I am particularly inspired by how new and old, broken and whole things can coexist, even on an intangible level. I work simultaneously on various art-based projects. Art and design complement each other: art liberates, design structures. The questions I explore relate to a holistic understanding of art, recognizing my own artistic language, and identifying the factors that shape these processes. I work at the intersection of visual art and textile art.

My business, PINTA design (1998), produces design-based art projects, including the innovative Reblok mini-textile concept, an art play.

Community is a central theme in my work: creating and building together.

Program during Konstrundan

Our studio, located in the courtyard of Oitbacka Manor, offers a comprehensive art experience amidst beautiful nature and culture. Our Andalusian-inspired art barn was built in 1902, housing artists' studios as well as the adjacent "Lantala Art Garden." There, we also invite our guests to explore our art during the time of Konstrundan. My own studio in the barn's attic is also part of our shared, material-based art paradise.

Driving directions

The best way to reach Oitbacka is by car, traveling through Espoo Kauklahti and taking Lapinkyläntie straight for about 4 km. The Oitbacka Manor area is located on the right side of Lapinkyläntie, with a Konstrundan sign at a gravel road leading to the manor. A similar sign is placed from the Oitbacka direction, where the sign directs to the left toward the gravel road leading to the manor area.
