Information about the artist / the group

In my artistic work I use the wood lathe as the main tool and I call my woodturning art ”Former i trä”. Already as a teenager I became interested in woodturning when my grandfather was teaching me to turn steering wheels for boats in his carpentry. As I am interested in visual art and draw and paint a little, this led me to create woodturning art. I aim to make appealing and unique forms where the properties like structure, color and form of the wood may influence on the final result. My turning art consists of various bowls, vases, goblets, plates, hats, etc., which I mainly make from local wood. I usually make the pieces different, but sometimes I create several variants on the same theme. My gallery and woodturning studio are open for all interested as agreed upon.

During Konstrundan you can see my exhibition in the gallery and get acquainted with woodturning in my turning studio. We offer coffee / tea and something home-baked.
