Information about the artist / the group

Yvapurü is a visual artist working in a range of mixed media. He has been trained between Asunción, Barcelona, New York & Helsinki. His expressive versatility unfolds as a draftsman, painter, sculptor, photographer, and performer. Selected to participate at the XX Kuvataideviikot International Contemporary Fair of Art, where the Pekilo Art Museum added one of his artworks to their collection. Yvapurü has created several artistic projects for Design District Helsinki, the Swedish Institute, Goethe Zentrum, and Kunsthaus Jägermeister. He has exhibited in Argentina, Austria, France, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Nepal, Paraguay, Spain, England and the United States. He is part of the Council of Frame Contemporary Finland, a member of the Board of Globe Art Point, and Culture For All.

Program during Konstrundan

On 6.09.2025 from 15h to 17h, Our resident artist Leysan Karimova is handling a Creative Portrait Workshop that will be organised for a few small groups of 5 to 8 participants. This workshop is for artists, creatives, and anyone seeking a deeper connection with themselves through visual storytelling and the art of contemporary portrait photography, using props, styling, and mood to create unique and meaningful images. Driving directions

Yvapurü Creative Studio is located in Merihaka, on the 4th floor of the Meritorni Building. You can easily reach it by crossing the new bridge from Hakaniemi to Merihaka. The main entrance is on the right side (if you come by car; Aspnäsgatan 7-9 B)
