Information about the artist / the group

I draw my inspiration from the oneness of people, animals and all of nature. I often depict animals as strong and people as vulnerable. Sometimes animals and people mix. Despite all their imperfections, humans are part of nature, which is perfect. I have been working full-time as a visual artist since 2017, when I moved from Helsinki to Koskenkylä Sawmill in Pernaja. I graduated with a Master of Arts from the Department of Photography of the University of Art and Design in 2001 and had a twenty-year career as a portrait photographer for artists and writers. What I enjoy most about my work is following my intuition and learning. I can start from any starting point and there is always a journey ahead of me, the end of which I cannot know.

Driving directions

Highway 7 (Porvoo-Loviisa motorway): go up the Koskenkylä ramp to Highway 6 and after about 1 km turn left towards Myrskylä-Orimattila. Drive 1 km and turn left after the bend to Niinkoskentie, Galleria Solis is the first house on the left. GMaps may give you the wrong end of the road, check the map!
