Information about the artist / the group

Already in middle school, I was accepted as a member of the Kouvola Art Society. I attended Savonlinna Art High School in 1968-1971 and the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 1971-1977, where I graduated as a graphic designer. I have worked for a total of 26 years as an art teacher in secondary schools, upper secondary schools, civic and folk high schools in different localities. Since the 1980s, I have participated in national and regional exhibitions and held solo exhibitions. Active exhibition activities continue, I paint, make graphics and draw using different methods. In 2017, I received the Elias Lönnrot Medal and a recognition award for my immigrant art. For 2019-2020, I was chosen as the Oulu Regional Art Museum's Touring Exhibition Artist of the Year.
