Information about the artist / the group

Lotta is a self-taught artist, designer and teacher. She has been creating her timeless and simple textile prints and motifs since 1996. She is the author of twelve books and has collaborated with many shops, artisans, museums and manufacturers around the world.

“I love working with many different mediums; I paint and print on paper and canvas, I shape clay, draw with ink and explore egg oil tempera. I create bowls, collages, pillows, bags, screen prints that can be framed and many other inspiring things”
“Creating with my hands is an important, tactile and calming process for me. It's a journey I take with my designs, sometimes with a clear goal and sometimes where the wind takes us. It is important to play, experiment and try to let go of control"

It would be lovely if you come to visit my studio; Learn about my techniques, ask questions, take a peek into my little studio shop and come and try rubber block printing on cards and envelopes.
We celebrate process rather than perfect results; absolute beginners and experienced artists of all ages are all welcome. Together with photographer Maria Rosenlöf, we offer “fika “

Driving directions

Turn onto Grundsundavägen and drive the windy road until it ends. When you come to a turnaround you can park there. Look for my street sign located right by the mailboxes, walk down the forest road until you see a small yellow house : you have arrived. ( please note that google maps roads are incorrect )
