Information about the artist / the group

I create visual art in my studio at Taideyhdistys Tapaus.
I paint with acrylics, sometimes in very thin layers and other times in multiple thick layers on top of each other. My process involves working on several paintings simultaneously. Even though I use fast-drying acrylics, the drying time takes a while. I begin each painting intuitively, but logic guides me to apply learned and tested themes.
I strive to find light and shadow. In the end, the most important thing is that the painting must be beautiful in its own way so that it remains engaging to look at!
I was an invited artist at BELA, the European and Latin American Biennial in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2023–2024, and the Artist of the Month in HTY’s online gallery in August 2023.

Program during Konstrundan

The premises of Taideyhdistys Tapaus include workspaces as well as the Aula Gallery, where artists participating in Konstrundan showcase and discuss their works.
During the Konstrundan weekend last year, we had many interesting conversations about creating art and the process of finishing artworks. There are always some unfinished pieces on display, along with many completed works!
As a demonstration, I can paint together with a visitor using their favorite colors!
