Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual arts teacher, doctor of arts, artist and craftsman from Karjaa, Romsarby. I graduated with a master's degree in art from the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 1989. Before and after graduation, I worked for some years as a visual arts teacher, then as an art education teacher trainer and researcher at the University of Art and Design/Aalto University. I have spent my working career mainly in higher education in the art field, but versatile image making has always been an important part of my life. Although I'm at my strongest as a drawing artist, I also like painting and various mixed media. I've been drawing a lot with oil pastels and dry pastels, coloured pencils, markers and lately also graphite and charcoal pencils.

Program during Konstrundan

We built a small summer studio gallery in the attic of our house, Lindtorp, where mainly my newer works will be exhibited in the summer and autumn of 2025. The exhibition works are for sale, as well as the cards printed from them. For those who are interested, I will also present woollen yarn and silk scarves that I dyed with natural colors.
Directions: turn from Salontie at the Backgränd sign onto Romsarbyntie. After about 4 kilometers, turn left at number 288 and drive down to the red house.
