Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual artist who loves nature and animals and paints and makes graphic art. I work at the premises of the Artists' Association Tapaus in Tapanila, where I create colorful and lively works. In my art, I humanize animals, making them funny and human-like characters that convey joy and good mood to the viewers.
I also use my photographs of nature, which I use to create paintings. I strive to highlight the beauty and diversity of nature through my art.
I want to create a good mood for the viewer with my works in an original and joyful way. In graphic art, I am fascinated by old techniques, etching and aquatint on copper plate. The end result of the graphic art is always partly random and a surprise to the artist.

Driving directions

The location is a 5-minute walk from Tapanila train station. Go up the stairs and walk towards Viertolantie. Tapaus can be found in a red brick factory building on the 2nd floor. Above the door is a sign "Taiteilijayhdistys Tapaus."
