Behind KOHMA is Assi Sahlman, a 30-year-old goldsmith from Ypäjä.

"I am a career changer and originally trained as a practical nurse. I graduated as a goldsmith artisan in May 2022 and completed my professional goldsmith certification in the spring of 2023.

I love making jewelry and creating new pieces. My inspiration comes from nature and its darker aspects. The harsh cycle of nature is reflected in my jewelry. In addition, history is close to my heart."

In the studio, you will get to see traditional goldsmith techniques, the making of precious metal jewelry, as well as forging and bronze casting.
