Information about the artist / the group

I am an artist and craftsman mainly working with sculpting and carving sword-like objects in fresh wood. For me, the design language of melee weapons is very fascinating - not least the unimaginable width and variety seen across all cultures and historical eras. I'm also interested in exploring how much you can change the shape of a given object before it becomes interpreted as something other.

Program during Konstrundan

Come visit me in my studio and workshop in eastern Mariehamn! I am happy to talk about my working methods, choice of materials, sources of inspiration and the thoughts behind finished and half-finished works. The programme will be fairly fluid and adapted to the needs and wishes of individual visitors.

Driving directions

Drive east from Rökerirondellen, turn left onto Örtvägen. 700 meters up and then another left turn into Klövergränd. The studio is located in the basement of the first house on the right, a brick house with solar panels on the roof.
