Information about the artist / the group

I studied ceramics at Derby College of art between 1973-76. Since then I have been involved in making and experimenting with all forms of ceramics. My studio in Noormarkku has now been opened for people to come and explore the wonders of clay, evening classes are available. During the Konstrundan weekend students will be working in the studio on a variety of techniques, visitors are welcome to watch and to take part if they wish. The Noormarkun Savipaja also has a small gallery, visitors are welcome to browse and purchase the products. We encourage discussion on the subject of ceramics and all kinds of art, questions about exploring clay art will be answered and encouraged.

Program during Konstrundan

During the weekend of Konstrundan students that have attended courses during the winter with be working on different building techniques, visitors are welcome to watch, ask questions and to enter into the making process, if they wish.
Visitors are welcome to browse around the Noormarkku Gallery and to enjoy the garden.
The whole process from beginning, the making of the pots, glazing the ware and firing the pots, can be explained to the visitors.
