Information about the artist / the group

I, Petri Allinen, attended Hyvinkää Art School for three years in my youth. After that, in the early 90s, I participated in a couple of joint exhibitions in Karkkila and Hyvinkää. I also attended the Kuusamo art camp for several years. Nowadays, I paint at home in my studio in Kungsö on Åland. I draw inspiration from cubism and abstract art, as well as some comic book artists. The materials I use are acrylic and oil paints, which I apply on canvas. For illustrations, I use markers and watercolors. My paintings could be described as coloristic.

Driving directions

You can find me by driving from Mariehamn towards Eckerö for about 4 km and then turning left at the Kungsö intersection. After that, continue straight for about 4,5 km until you reach the intersection by a beach, where you turn left, and then you’re there. My studio is in the first house on the left.
