Information about the artist / the group

I am a pedagogue of manual skills and art subjects and a visual artist from Somero. I work in the courtyard building of an old country house. In my painting process, I look at historical memories that are connected to nature. The works combine the landscapes of my current and former home region: the islands of Saimaa and the fields of Somero and their small fields. Both water bodies and the soil of the fields have their own stories to tell. Strong emotional bonds are linked to these landscapes for generations - for some the landscapes in the works can be a wistful memory of childhood landscapes, for others they are part of the current stage of life or utopia.

Program during Konstrundan

A small painting will be raffled among visitors. KonstCafé serves in the courtyard of the farmhouse.

Driving directions

Drive along Härkätie. Turn from Härkätie to Kyrönsuontie, at the sharp bend. Drive the Kyrönsuontie dirt road for 2.44 km. You arrive at the courtyard of the farmhouse and you are there.
