Information about the artist / the group

I am a designer who uses old books as material and an artist who creates wood and paper sculptures. As a musician, I occasionally merge the visual and auditory worlds with instruments I design and craft myself from natural materials. My tools range from a writer’s pen to a guillotine, and from a guitar to a chainsaw.

My workshop is located near the center of Hyvinkää in an old log building, nestled between a small patch of forest and a decommissioned VR machine shop – halfway between nature and an industrial area. Inside, it is a colorful and unique wonderland. I host courses and concerts in my workshop for both groups and individuals.

Program during Konstrundan

I will showcase some work throughout the day, where the chainsaw sings and the guillotine splits old books. Visitors will have the chance to create a Japanese tatar instrument from weeds or fold a small nightlight from book pages. My little shop offers art and design products. My mother-in-law will serve coffee/tea and pastries under the linden tree. As evening falls, if there are still visitors and the weather permits, there will be live music.

Driving directions

When turning onto Pajatintie from Erkylänkatu, after approximately 100 meters, turn left onto an "unnamed" road, at the end of which the Ateljeetalo is located. The house is on the same side of Pajatintie as VR's workshop buildings.
