Hanne Bird (b. 1981) works in Järvenpää. Bird’s family comes from North Karelia, and her roots trace back to Italy. She has held solo exhibitions since 2020 and has participated in several group exhibitions as well as juried collective exhibitions. Bird paints boldly, combining various techniques. Currently, she incorporates the mixed media technique of the old masters and egg tempera in her abstract paintings. Her painting process is meditative. The works are earthy, powerful, intuitive, and expressive, built up from multiple colorful layers. Bird is known for her circles and her versatile use of color in her works.
