Painting
In my studio at the Cable Factory, where I have been working since the early 90s, you can see paintings from different decades, including new paintings. I am a painter born in 1961 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. I have studied in Egypt at Helwan University in Cairo and in Finland at Aalto University of Art and Design. In addition to Finland, my paintings have been inspired by Tanzania, Egypt, Spain and Morocco, where I have also lived or stayed for a long time and exhibited my paintings. I mainly paint oil paintings where light and its different colours are important. My subjects are architecture, nature and landscape. The subject of my latest exhibition was a stream and a waterfall in Kainuu, where I come from. My works are in the HAM collections, among others.
I present my paintings in my studio.
