This year’s art task is Colours from the Kitchen!
Alejandra Löthman shows how children can paint with ingredients like red cabbage, beetroot, turmeric, coffee, lemon, and vinegar. It’s a playful experiment where acids meet bases, and kids discover that color exists everywhere – not just in stores but also in their own kitchen.
Finland’s largest open studio event continues to grow. More visitors than ever took the opportunity to meet artists, craftspeople, and designers in their own ateljés.
The event provided a platform for lively conversations, inspiring work demonstrations, and personal encounters.
For one weekend in September, professional artists, craftspeople and designers will open the doors of their studios and workshops to the public. The central aim is to create encounters between creative practitioners and visitors.
Organised annually since 2008, Konstrundan attracts around 400 participants and 30,000 visitors each year. This year, Konstrundan will take place on the first weekend of September, 6-7 September.
Since September, Konstrundan has a new project manager. Anniina Dunder-Berg has a background in jewellery design and has, over the past fifteen years, worked extensively within the fields of art, design, leadership, and cultural projects.
Dear Konstrundan 2025 participants, we at Konstrundan want to support you in many ways and that’s why we’re bringing back the Konstrundan Xmas Calendar. Our aim with the calendar is to inspire our followers to buy presents from local artists, designers and craftspeople.
