This year Konstrundan is arranged for the 14th time in Finland. Each year a selected artist or graphic designer has created an annual illustration for Konstrundan. The illustration for 2021 is made by Ulla Donner.
When Ulla was asked if she’d be interested in making this year’s illustration she answered “Yes, please, because it’s one of the most fun assignments one can imagine!” And Ulla has really managed to capture the spirit of Konstrundan in the illustration: here you can see many different types of arts and crafts represented, as well as the audience peeking into the artist studios in many fun ways!
Ulla is an illustrator, maker of graphic novels and graphic designer. She graduated from the visual communication programme at Aalto University in 2016 and she has worked as a freelancer ever since. In 2017 she published her first graphic novel Spleenish and in 2019 her second, Skiten, that was awarded with the Sarjakuva Finlandia-prize. Ulla lives and works in the countryside in Porvoo. She’s currently working on her third graphic novel.
